“Trusting God to the End” – Esther 9:1-19

The Story of Esther comes to its moment of truth. Will God ultimately be with His people? Will God deliver the Jews on Judgement Day, “the 13th Day of the twelfth month, the month of Adar”? There seems to be a looming dread hanging over the people of Persia, there is just something other-worldly about these Jews. Even Haman’s wife back in chapter six could feel it. She says to Haman after that humiliating parade for Mordecai, “Mordecai is of Jewish origin, and you cannot stand against him – you will surely come to ruin!” Could it be that God, who is not named in Esther’s saga, has been with the Jews this whole time and now in these last days begins to make it clear even to their enemies? Join us on Sunday at 9:30 to learn the end of the story. Here’s a clue, be ready to sing the Doxology, really!!
